The Pampers team has taken the next step in thanking our amazing midwives – did you see the TV ad last night?
The first beautiful makeover of a midwife staffroom has been completed. Check this short video of the first makeover that took place at Princess Anne Hospital in Southampton:
Does your midwife deserve this special treatment?
The Pampers team has pledged to make over 10 of the 'most thanked' hospitals in the UK. So let’s put our midwives in the spotlight so that they can win a staffroom makeover, here’s how:
- Share this video with your friends and followers using the #ThankYouMidwife
- Tag the hospital you gave birth in and help it stand out and get its own staffroom makeover
- Tag the Pampers team - @pampersworld on Instagram, @PampersUKIre on Facebook & @Pampers_UK on Twitter
or post the YouTube link from the video on Instagram with the above hashtags.
@all: How do you find the new look of the staff room after its makeover?

Our mini Project has come to an end and we've loved every second!
We want to thank you for contributing in this mini project! We Squaddies have completed our Goal to spread love and support the Pampers Team with their #ThankYouMidwife initiative.

@all: How many friends and followers did you inspire to post their own #ThankYouMidwife story?

Pampers are committed to shining a light on the incredible work that midwives do across the UK every single day, so every time we share our story with the hashtag #ThankYouMidwife they’ll make a £1 donation to midwives in need. Pretty cool, huh?
We’re guessing that by now, you’ve shared your story (if not, check out our previous post for details on the perfect share), which means it’s time to do what we do best and get sharing with our fellow parents.
As the mum or dad of a little one, we tend to come into pretty close contact with other parents. So, whether it’s an NCT meeting, baby sensory class or just a much-needed night out with parent pals, let them know about the Pampers Pledge to donate £1 for every story shared and ask them for ‘their story’.
Maybe their midwife rubbed their back, maybe they cracked jokes or repeated a lifesaving mantra (“In 1, 2, 3. Out 1, 2, 3”!) – ask them to share their story on social media with #ThankYouMidwife.
@all: Who have you spoken to about the Pampers Pledge? Let’s make sure all of our pals get chance to say #ThankYouMidwife

Pampers are joining forces with the folks over at moonpig.com to say #ThankYouMidwife
As part of International Day of the Midwife, Moonpig have created 6 limited edition cards to help you say a big thank you to the person who guided you all the way from bump to bundle of joy.
Not only are these lovely little cards designed specifically for midwives, for every card purchased Moonpig will donate £1 to the RCM Benevolent Fund.
1 in 3 midwives feel undervalued for the job that they do – together, we can change that!
Share your stories with #ThankYouMidwife on social media now and do let us know where you've posted them and be in with a chance of winning a month’s worth of free nappies!
@all: Have you thanked your midwife yet?

Cast your mind back now to the hours immediately after you’d given birth to your little one. Did you spend hours lovingly gazing at your new little bundle? Did you drift into a well-deserved sleep? Did you manage to find your midwife and thank them for their support?
Midwives are incredibly important to us during labour but in the hours and day afterwards, our brand-new little one is all consuming. So, whether you had the chance to show your appreciation at the time or not, now is the time to share Squad love for midwives everywhere.
Here’s how to share the love! Proudly use the #ThankYouMidwife and include:
@pampersworld On Instagram
@PampersUKIre on Facebook &
@Pampers_UK on Twitter
This is the most important part! For every single hashtag, Pampers will donate £1 towards the Royal College of Midwives’ Benevolent Fund.
Add some lovely content – the Pampers team would love to hear stories of what made your marvellous midwife special. What are you most thankful for and did she or he use any funny phrases or encouraging words to help you to push through? Include a pic of you and your smiling little one now, we bet your midwife will be pleased as punch to see it.
Be sure you include: The name of the hospital and, if you can, the name of your midwife. As well as donations, social media shares could see your favourite midwife having his or her staffroom completely transformed by a dedicated Pampers design team!
And you can benefit too, the Pampers Team will be reading each of your posts and the ones which will stand out will be in with a chance of winning a month’s supply of free Pampers nappies. Nice!
@all: Where have you shared your story so far?

Did you know that May 5th is International Day of the Midwife? And did you know that even though these superhero midwives are a rock to us during labour (whichever day of the year we give birth), 1 in 3 of them feel undervalued in their jobs?
You may remember this gorgeous Pampers video that was shown over Christmas but we’re here to remind you that midwives work hard to bring beautiful babies into the world every single day. A midwife is for life not just for Christmas!
Since December last year, Pampers has been rallying the nation to say #ThankYouMidwife and for every single tweet, Insta or Facebook post shared with this hashtag, Pampers will donate £1 to the Royal College of Midwives’ Benevolent Fund.
Life before baby
Remember life before your little one came along? Only just, right? Well, your midwife does. She or he was there to help you decide on a birthing plan, to monitor your bump’s health and to answer all of the questions that now seem like second nature (Can I do this? Is this normal? How do I do that?!).
We bet you won’t have forgotten those overwhelming, nerve-wracking hours before you had your baby. Chances are, your midwife was a beacon of kind, calm professionalism – telling jokes, rubbing your back and generally letting you know that everything was going to be okay. Where would you have been without them?
Throughout the course of this mini-project, we’ll be spreading the love for midwives everywhere by sharing personal stories on social media of how our midwife helped us to push through labour (using the hashtag #ThankYouMidwife)
@all: How did your midwife help you to push through labour? Prepare your story for your post tomorrow, 05.05.2018 and share your memories with fellow Squaddies.
