How do you make winter magical with your little one? ❄

Can you believe that Christmas was only a month ago? Yup! This time of year has a habit of dragging on and as we’re still officially in the bleak mid-winter, we thought we’d reach out to our Squad to find out your favourite frosty activities to do with your little one. Comment and share your activities and you could win one of 4x £20 Amazon vouchers.

Your frosty favourites ☔

We want to hear your favourite wintery pastimes with your little ones. What makes the season special for you?

  • Do you love splashy puddle walks in the park?
  • Is it all about cuddling up in front of the fire to read picture books?
  • Or is hot chocolate on rainy afternoons your idea of heaven?

Share your favourite cold-weather activities with the rest of the Squad and let’s fall in love with what’s left of winter together.

How to enter the fab competition? 🍀

    OR

Being at home baking together

It was my sons first time experiencing the snow he’s 7 months so we took a lovely walk through the woods and then cuddled on the sofa watching Christmas baby movies! Can’t wait to experience it again with him as he loved it

Playing sports, and getting muddy, in the back garden. My little boy has just started rugby tots so loves it!

We love our winter walks and picnics in the park 💜 What the little one loves the most is the cup of warm babycino he gets every time we go out for a walk.

He learnt how to cheers with mommy too (because mommy needs a cup of hot coffee too) haha 😆

We love to go on winter walks to our allotment and on the way search for fairy houses hiding on logs and trees.
Jacob's walks and Baby elliot goes in his pushchair, hes only 8 weeks so he's got a lot of exploring with his big brother to do

Getting all wrapped up warm, wellies on. Go for a walk after it’s rained then frozen over. They love cracking all the frozen over puddles. Jumping up and down. laughing when it cracks the ice. Then running to the next one. Lots of exercise and best of all no muddy wellies to wash as it’s all frozen.

Box of cereal crushed up in a box with diggers and trucks, cheap activity and endless fun, ending with a living room full of cereal, which means the hoover comes out and it turns into a game of the hoovers going to eat your toes!

We loved taking our train obsessed son to watch the Christmas illuminated steam trains at the Watercress line, 6 times we went in the evening to watch and take him on the miniature railway. This year we will take him on the big one!

We love going to baby groups and meeting other mums, keeping busy and active is really helping beat the January blues, a walk around the block after lunch breaks up the day and sometimes we bump into people and have a little chat :) then home for a afternoon nap if I’m lucky, roll on spring!

Curled up on the sofa watching a film with some snacks and then off to bed for a bedtime story and cuddle

I love to get all snuggled up under a cosy blanket and read endless stories with my little one! Perfect way to keep warm and entertained

jtstar28 • 31/01/2022 - 19:59

We love wrapping up warm and going in the pram for long wintery walks then going on the swings at the end

Amaksy Verified 01/02/2022 - 05:33

With the weather being cold it’ll be an indoor game and fun so some carts or snuggling up to a movie. If the weather permits we can walk around the park and stopping at the playground for some swings and slides.

My toddlers abit unsteady on her feet still so we just bought her first welly’s and head off to feed the ducks & swans at our local pond. There extra hungry now it’s colder out and my little one will try & nibble on some of the bread she’s feeding them 🤣

ii_marrie Verified 01/02/2022 - 11:55

We love snuggling up with our feet up, pampers nappie on, hot coco and milk in on hand all wrapped up in a warm cosy blanket watching cartoons and eating yummy snacks on cold wintery days.

Housetohome_23 Verified 01/02/2022 - 13:52

We love to have a sensory morning when it’s cold outside. We get out the silver foil blanket and light up toys with sensory blocks and make a little den that we can watch all the lights reflect off the blanket whilst feeling the different textures of the toys. Ideal for little babies senses on a cold and dark morning!

i like playing games and reading books with my little one during the winter and of course cannot go without hot chocolate for myself and little treats for my baby appropriate to the age!

Jassy93 Verified 01/02/2022 - 19:24

As most days it's too cold to go out for walks, my LO, who just turned 6 months old, absolutely enjoys just cuddling in bed with unlimited breastmilk by the tap. 😆😆😆

WoodyWood Verified 01/02/2022 - 22:52

My favourite past time with my little one, is going for a nice walk hand in hand, getting home to get warm and snuggly. Followed by painting our handprints to remember our day. Followed by a nice warm drink together, and a choccy biscuit or two!

Esther_wil Verified 02/02/2022 - 08:29

We love heading out for a walk all wrapped up warm and then coming back and warming up with cuddles and stories. On really wet days we love getting out the tuff tray and doing all sorts of sensory activities. This week's hit was rice play with hidden coins for Chinese New year
