Chris and wife Rosie chat to parenting and sleep experts about their experiences, and receive some invaluable hints and tips from them. Young babies waking during the night for a feed or a cuddle is par for the course, but your baby needn’t wake up because their nappy has leaked. Pampers are on a mission to get you as much sleep as possible and that’s why not only do Pampers Baby-Dry instantly absorb wetness for up to 12 hours, they also feature a revolutionary Stop & Protect pocket to prevent leaks at the back.

Ready to have your say? 💭

Fab! Share your thoughts, questions (or even hilarious poonami stories) in the comments below and we’ll be in touch via email if you’re one of the lucky winners.

My sleep tip is to switch to nappy pants. It will save you time when changing your little one at night, especially if you are changing in dimly lit room and your eyes still half closed ;-)
I also found with an active toddler at night, nappy pants acted better when it came to avoiding leakage.

Glow in the dark dummies and a mini fridge in our bedroom with a bottle made up 🤣

We’ve just got a new baby in our home I’m grandma and my daughter lives at home still with her toddler and her new baby. We are all struggling to sleep at the moment as you can imagine the toddler 19 months old is in the process of going to nursery we say in the process as she cries the whole settling in time she’s getting very clingy which obviously we all understand but now she’s not sleeping at night and constantly waking up
We started using the pants and she likes them as they pull up on her tummy and she loves to sleep on her tummy so they are a lot more comfortable than the nappies we use during the day (we use nappies during day so we don’t have to take off all her leggings etc but we will be using pants soon full time so we can start potty training
I know it’s hard for our toddler but I can’t ever remember my 3 children being as bad I’m sure there is just so much going on to overstimulate children nowadays and it’s hard for them to switch off
I’d love to win the supply of pants as it would help a lot and little man is almost I. A size 3 so he can try them soon
I love pampers nappies have always used them even on mine years ago and touch wood he hasn’t had any leaked as yet so that’s one good thing
If anyone has any advise on nursery or night sleeping we are always willing to try anything to help

We are now 14 months old and have a routine that works most (!) of the time. Baby dry nappy pants, pjs and popped into a sleeping bag. Milk when she is put down, with a red light and lullaby music. We now have two of her favourite comforter so one either side of her and a glow in the dark dummy either side (though somehow there is four in there at the moment (🤣) . Least when she wakes she can find stuff easily and on a full belly means she isn’t hungry in the night and the nappy is super absorbent so she doesn’t get sore or uncomfortable. Only thing to stop a full nights sleep is the teething.

Making sure you have everything ready before you go to bed is my top tip - nothing worse than trying to find a nappy or wipes when you are half asleep or having to sterilise a bottle when the baby is screaming!

ellen2605 • 05/02/2024 - 19:39

Our two year old usually wakes after around 3 hours and can be difficult to settle back off so we’ve always got a bottle of milk ready to settle him. Glow in the dark dummies are also a life saver when you’re scrabbling around trying to find it!

Liquid magnesium has been our most recent discovery!! It is helping lots with night wakenings xx

Nothin helps 😭

Before sleep routine helps a lot. Full belly (calories, calories!).

Aali • 05/02/2024 - 19:53

Make sure the child has eaten enough before bed so they don’t wake up hungry!

Roomoo Verified 05/02/2024 - 20:03

We always try and minimise fluid intake close to bed time. X

NifflersMum • 05/02/2024 - 20:05

I find a full tummy helps! I recommend a banana, prepared depending on age and some warm milk while winding down with no screens just some nursery rhymes or a book the half hour before bedtime. Whenever I don’t do this she’s always up!

synapsis • 05/02/2024 - 20:07

This may sound like mumbo jumbo but it worked for us for a while. Give baby a bit of banana at bed time! Firstly, they love it. Secondly, it contains some sleep promoting nutrients. Thirdly, you can eat the rest!

Keeping a Routine and perseverance

Patka96 • 05/02/2024 - 20:21

What really helps us through the night is our routine. But if this doesn't help than we have a trick. We open windows and we're trying to put a fresh air in, sometimes even putting blankets, swaddles outside for a while before sleep. It helps a lot!
The bedding smells nice and fresh, who wouldn't sleep in it and in the room full of fresh air?

Make sure your baby is warm at night, cold baby with a wet nappy is a big no ! We sleep through since 8 weeks good bedtime routine is also important in our day . Since born we use pampers and never had leaks unless daddy is changing nappy before bed 😂🤦🏼‍♀️.

Mummy_boss Verified 05/02/2024 - 20:28

I learnt how important a bedtime routine is, just after my little man turned 1 we persevered with his bedtime routine, which consists of pj’s, pampers active fit (only ones that don’t leak in the night), bedtime story & bottle. Brush his teeth and straight into his cot. He knows it’s bedtime, so lays down & goes to sleep. Where as previously we would have to literally sit next to him until he fell asleep with our hand on his back! We also play his lullaby music from the baby monitor.
If he wakes up in the night, I just put the lullaby music on and it settles him back to sleep.

Sallybet90 • 05/02/2024 - 20:43

My tip is premium protection for night time, as they keep him comfortable throughout thr night. While we use baby dry during the day. Also banana and Greek yoghurt as a snack before bed so he stays fuller for longer 🥰
